Yiddish Vinkl’s Purim shpil is March 9

The Minneapolis Yiddish Vinkl will present “madcap merriment” with its annual colorful skit titled “Today Is Purim” 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9 at the Sabes JCC, 4330 Cedar Lake Rd. S., St. Louis Park.
Live music will be provided by Eisner’s Klezmorim, featuring Gitele Eisner, Dugi Eisner, Gretta Hunstiger, Matt Miller and special guest artists Allen Levine, Barbara Davis and Teresa Jackson. Vinkl cast members will include Lev Mailer, Markle Karlen, Walter Littman, Florence Littman and Dugi Eisner.
Dancing girls who parade before the King will be Renee Emerson, Julie Gruber and Paula Mailer. They will be assisted by young adult guests from the inclusion program under the direction of Anita Lewis.

Members of the Minneapolis Yiddish Vinkl will present its annual skit, titled “Today Is Purim,” on March 9.

There will be some English narration in addition to Yiddish dialogue, and the audience is encouraged to participate with cheers, boos, groggers and dancing.
Light refreshments follow the program. All ages are welcome and children are invited at no charge. The cost for adults is free for Vinkl members and $3 for guests.
