The Sabes JCC will present The Children’s Hour by Lillian Hellman, directed by Anya Kremenetsky, from April 20-28 at the Sabes JCC, 4330 Cedar Lake Rd. S., St. Louis Park. Performances will take place 7:30 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays; pay-what-you-can performances will take place 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 22 and 12:30 p.m. Friday, April 26.
The Children’s Hour features Martha and Karen, who run a school for girls. After a malicious student starts a rumor about the two women’s relationship, the rumor soon turns to scandal. Even after the student understands the power she holds and the potential danger she can cause for Martha and Karen, she sticks by her story, which leads to tragedy for the two women.
The show is recommended for ages 12 and older.
The cast features Stephanie Cousins, Danielle Siver, Samuel Ahern, Diana Wilde, Sue Gerver, Mary-Elizabeth Pasquesi, Abby Maas, Sydney Gilliam, Gabrielle Jones, Sophia Giovanis, Jillian Jacobson, Sophia Smith and Eleanor Dailey. The artistic team includes Miles Bard, Anita Kelling, Lisa Conley, Michelle Makie, Lee Conrads and Erica Zaffarano.
Tickets are $15 for JCC fitness members and the general public, and $12 for JCC premium members, community members and students; visit: www.sabesjcc.org, call 952-381-3499 or e-mail: tickets@sabesjcc.org.
