Tim Sparks and the Goulash System join Le Freylekh Trio for Paris Klezmer Project

While waiting for the new Tim Sparks album on John Zorn’s Tzadik label, a package from Paris arrived in the AJW offices. It’s the wonderful new album from an accomplished string ensemble call Le Freylekh Trio. The Parisian musicians — Jacques Gandard and brothers Toma and David Feterman — have joined with a group called the Goulash System, which features ace Minnesota guitarist Sparks — guitariste américain mélangeant bluegrass et klezmer. He is shown below (bottom row, center).
