Paul Reubens has played many roles on TV and film; but he captured the hearts of young viewers as the mischievous Pee-wee Herman, whose imaginative and wacky show for kids premiered on CBS in 1986, ran for five seasons — and won 22 Emmy Awards. Now the shows have been “meticulously remastered from the original film elements,” and released in an 8-disc Blu-ray box set, Pee-wee’s Playhouse: The Complete Series (Shout! Factory). The collection of high-definition videos, which will be available Oct. 21, includes all 45 episodes, plus the Pee-wee’s Playhouse Christmas Special.
