Hewins Financial honors renowned philanthropist

Hewins Financial Advisors, LLC will host renowned philanthropy expert Joel Fleishman at a special event and dinner honoring high-impact giving, which will be followed by a special presentation of Fleishman’s latest book on philanthropy, Give Smart. The Philanthropy That Gets Results event will take place 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 20 at Oak Ridge Country Club, 700 Oak Ridge Rd., Hopkins.

Fleishman will speak on engaged, high-impact philanthropy as outlined in his book. He will provide ways to enhance and engage causes of interest for an audience of major donors, foundation heads and board members.

Fleishman is faculty chair of the Duke University Center for Strategic Philanthropy and Civil Society, has served as president of the Atlantic Philanthropic Service Company, and is a renowned expert and national speaker on the subject of giving.
