Jenny Scheinman’s Mischief and Mayhem, featuring Jim Black, Nels Cline and Todd Sickafoose, will perform 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2 at the Walker Art Center, 1750 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis. The jazz/rock supergroup is led by violinist and composer Scheinman, who has become a legend in American folk, country, rock and jazz.
Scheinman performed at the Walker in 2007 as part of the Bill Frisell Trio, with electric guitarist Frisell and lap steel guitarist Greg Leisz (10-19-07 AJW). She recorded the 2002 album The Rabbi’s Lover for the Radical Jewish Culture imprint of John Zorn’s Tzadik label.
