UJFC Annual Meeting will feature eminent Israeli soldier, reporter, legislator and scholar

The United Jewish Fund and Council of St. Paul‘s 77th Annual Meeting will take place 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 5 at Temple of Aaron, 616 Mississippi River Blvd., St. Paul.
The event will include a talk titled “Witness to History” by Dr. Michael Bar-Zohar, a writer, legislator, soldier and reporter. He will share his personal experience with and observations about the people who shaped and led Israel, including David Ben-Gurion, Golda Meir, Moshe Dayan and Benjamin Netanyahu, as well as his experience in war and politics.

The program will also include election of new board members and officers, awards, a review of the past year’s achievements and a dessert reception.
Nominated to serve as officers of the UJFC board for 2012-2013 are Wendy Baldinger, president; Mary Ann Barrows Wark and Steve Brand, vice presidents; Susan Minsberg, secretary; and Deb Weiss, treasurer. Nominated to the board for a three-year term are Jennifer Bagdade, Sharon Benmaman, Herman Birnberg, Barry Glaser, Charles Goodman, Stevan Kafitz, Scott Marvy, Sarah McGee, Charles Nauen, Polly Saxon and Karen Schanfield.
The event is open to the community and dietary laws will be observed. There will be no solicitation of funds.
