The July issue of the Jewish World will look back on the newspaper’s 110 years of continuous publication.
(A publication called The Jewish Weekly, under the aegis of Dr. Samuel Deinard, published briefly in 1912. The American Jewish World’s first issue was dated July 30, 1915, and the newspaper is still publishing. As far as we know, the Jewish World is the longest continuously published community newspaper in Minnesota.)
We are asking our readers to send in brief notes about their relationship with the perdurable newspaper of Minnesota’s Jewish community. What do you enjoy about the Jewish World? Have you moved away from Minnesota but still subscribe to the Jewish World?
For details on the July issue, click HERE. We would like to have submissions by June 25.
And we are encouraging advertising from local Jewish agencies, schools and shuls, that have been served by the American Jewish World over the years. Businesses are also welcome to place congratulatory ads in this special edition. We’re all in this together.
To reserve an ad space, contact Mordecai Specktor at editor [at] ajwnews [dot] com, or call 612-824-0030. The ad space reservation deadline is 12 p.m. Wednesday, June 25. The July issue will be in local homes around July 5.
