When Israel was attacked 50 years ago

The St. Paul JCC’s Twin Cities Jewish Book Series will conclude with an appearance by author Anya Von Bremzen 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 10 at the JCC, 1375 St. Paul Ave. The event is presented in partnership with the Museum of Russian Art.
Von Bremzen is one of the most accomplished food writers of her generation. She is the winner of three James Beard awards and is the author of five acclaimed cookbooks.

Her latest book, Mastering the Art of Soviet Cooking: A Memoir of Food and Longing, she recounts three Soviet-Jewish generations and their complex relationship with totalitarian power, Jewish identity and food.
