For nearly 25 years, JHSUM has been the collection, preservation and educational center for Jewish history in the region. A nonprofit membership organization, JHSUM serves a community of scholars, educators, students, genealogists, family historians and the general public through its primary source archival materials, exhibitions, publications, programs and its Web site: www,jhsum.org. JHSUM collections are housed in two prominent locations: the Eloise and Elliot Kaplan Family Jewish History Center on the Barry Family Campus in Minneapolis and the Nathan and Theresa Berman Upper Midwest Jewish Archives in the Andersen Library at the University of Minnesota. JHSUM is a partner agency of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation and the United Jewish Fund and Council of St. Paul.

Aquila Cedar Manor Together (ACT) is a school-based program that empowers parents to help children succeed in school. Working with Aquila and Cedar Manor schools in St. Louis Park, this program promotes academic and social success by increasing parent involvement, enhancing family stability, teaching self-regulation skills to children and providing them with academic and emotional support. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available as well, including homework assistance and mentoring.

The Family and Parenting Center provides a welcoming environment where families with children up to age 5 engage in Jewish learning, fun and friendship.
