The center offers an active lecture and dialogue series, hosting distinguished leaders in Jewish, Christian and Muslim thought. The center supports classes on both campuses, hosts interfaith study workshops, brings scholars-in-residence to area Jewish and Christian congregations, colleges and seminaries, and is affiliated with other centers and institutions devoted to interfaith relations.

JVS helps students assess critical factors when considering and evaluating college choices. The in-depth program assesses a student’s interests, abilities and career personality, along with educational and vocational priorities through one-on-one interviews, interest testing, and a review of high school transcripts and ACT or SAT scores. This program offers a unique Jewish perspective including Jewish resources such as kosher meals and Hillel.

JVS provides grants for post-secondary education based on merit and need. Scholarships are available for undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of fields of study including medicine and the rabbinate. Endowments through the Minneapolis Jewish Federation and JFCS fund these scholarships.

We offer annual scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students seeking two-year, four-year, graduate and professional degrees. Minnesota residents are eligible, although the committee gives preference to St. Paul residents and students attending Minnesota colleges or universities. Students of all ages are eligible, including recent high school graduates or older adults who are returning to school.
